The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 could have a (slightly) more generous battery

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip range, which has many advantages, is not very durable. The South Korean firm is trying to correct the situation for the next generation. But the challenge is higher.

Since the release of its Galaxy S22 and Galaxy A ranges, Samsung is now the free champion to prepare the sequel. The South Korean giant is focusing on its next generation of foldable smartphones. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 are expected at the turn, especially since the previous models have been able to establish the firm’s dominance on the subject.

We should therefore hear about it this summer at an upcoming event. But the rumors are already rife and today concern the flip smartphone. According to the GalaxyClub site, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 could have a bigger battery.

The device would carry two accumulators of 2400 mAh and 903 mAh, for a total of 3303 mAh, which is equivalent to 3400 mAh on the official technical sheet. The Z Flip 3 was equipped with a similar dual battery for a total of 3200 mAh, advertised at 3300 mAh.

A discreet change

We would therefore benefit from an additional 100 mAh, which in fact should not change the situation. The format of the phone certainly does not facilitate the maneuver, but autonomy could once again be its Achilles heel.

Samsung can, however, rely on other solutions to increase general endurance. The smartphone could be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, announced as less energy-consuming than the Snapdragon 888 currently used on the Galaxy Z Flip 3.

The firm could also use a panel compatible with LTPO technology, which automatically adapts the image refresh rate according to display needs. We imagine that Samsung is exploring all possibilities since it intends to democratize this format more widely with this new generation.
