In March 2022, two of the three best-selling cars in Europe are in Tesla’s lineup. The American manufacturer is literally invading the Old Continent with its Model 3 and its Model Y.
Now that the Tesla factory in Berlin is running at full speed, the American manufacturer’s deliveries will be able to accelerate, especially for its Model Y SUV, which is overflowing with orders. And even if the brand never stops increasing the price of its models, Tesla is achieving sales scores that are starting to make the competition dizzy.
In March 2022, the Model 3 dominates the ranking of the best-selling cars in Europe with 23,013 copies printed ahead of the Peugeot 208 (21,026 units). Third in the ranking, the new Model Y found 18,968 new customers. Enough to reject the Volkswagen Golf in fourth position (16,784 copies) while following the Dacia Sandero (16,778), Citroën C3 (16,697), Fiat 500 (16,120), Ford Puma (15,937), Toyota Yaris ( 15,910) and Opel Corsa (15,824).
No other electric in the top 10!
There is therefore no other electric model in this top 10 next to the two Teslas. The Kia EV6 has just been voted best car of the year in Europe and most brands are now selling plug-in models, but for now Tesla is largely in the lead on this technology.
