Samsung Electronics Introduces a New Era of Micro LED Technology at ISE 2022 – Samsung Newsroom Belgium

The Wall’s 2022 models feature incredible technological innovations, including the thinnest display ever, with a pixel pitch of just P.063

Samsung is showcasing the future of Micro LED technology at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2022 in Barcelona, unveiling three new models of its cutting-edge display technology, The Wall.

“Micro LED technology is poised to define the future of display innovation. From the luxury industry to hospitality and travel, the potential of Micro LEDs is endless. This technology allows companies to do more, said Evert Van Camp, Director Display at Samsung Benelux. “ISE is the largest show of its kind in the world and we are delighted to unveil our expanded range of The Wall. The Wall’s next-generation technology will align benefits beyond expectation, transforming any business and opening up new possibilities. »

2022 The Wall – Introducing the finest pixel pitch in history
As part of this edition of ISE, Samsung will unveil its 2022 model of The Wall (model name: IWB), an innovative Micro LED modular display that delivers immersive viewing experiences in a high-resolution widescreen format. The IWB will be available in 0.63 and 0.94mm pitches, with 0.63 being the finest pixel pitch in The Wall range. The new screen is now available for pre-order worldwide.

IWB’s micro-stepping characteristic delivers Samsung’s most detailed picture and dynamic range expansion with the display’s 120Hz frame rate, HDR10/10+ and LED HDR. After installation, The Wall supports a variety of screen sizes, from 4K movies for the 110-inch to stunning 8K quality for the 220-inch to meet any consumer or business need. This resolution capability is enhanced by the powerful Micro AI (artificial intelligence) processor, which instantly analyzes every second of content and optimizes picture quality while suppressing noise.

The overall size of the enclosures has been increased, allowing businesses and consumers to install only four enclosures to configure the UHD display. The result: faster, more profitable operation. The improved display housing reinforces large, high-resolution displays and helps increase mechanical quality to ensure immersive viewing while decreasing fine tuning. In fact, installation time has been reduced, which offers significant advantages to businesses over conventional LED displays.

The Wall is also full of advanced technologies. Firstly, with Multi View, The Wall allows simultaneous playback of multiple sources, up to four, on a single screen, with no additional splitters required for displaying dynamic content. Next, in-screen Black Seal technology creates a transparent canvas for purer black levels, with an ultra-low reflection film that has been applied to minimize external light reflection. Finally, thanks to 20-bit processing, The Wall delivers exceptional image quality and a smooth viewing experience, backed by a peak of 2,000 nits delivering clearer images.

The All-in-One Wall – An innovative and practical installation
Also unveiled in Barcelona this year, The Wall All-in-One (model name: IAB) comes in three different models: 4K 146-inch, 2K 146-inch and 2K 110-inch. This incredible next-generation display is synonymous with innovation not only in terms of viewing experience, but also installation. The standard resolution of The Wall All-in-One is a 16:9 form factor. The product, which is sold per display only, will be available globally on the heels of ISE 2022.

Perhaps the most innovative feature of The Wall All-in-One is its convenient installation, which includes a pre-fitted gasket as well as a “pre-assembled frame kit”. This kit, which makes the whole process as easy as a consumer TV, includes the internalized decoration frame of the 16:9 screen and an integrated S-box media player. The assembly also reduces the total cost of ownership.

The Wall All-in-One offers a sleek design with a display thinness of just 49mm, or a total installation of 59mm when measured from wall to screen. This slim, frameless Infinity design allows direct input connection to the display without a separate device. The result: a neat and convenient installation.

What’s more, backed by 20-bit processing, Black Seal technology and Micro AI processor, two 146-inch 4K displays can be installed side by side to create a 32:9 aspect ratio model with detachable function, thus a wall whole with exceptional image quality.

A range of versatile displays adapting to a new era – From the electric vehicle charging station to the hybrid classroom
In addition to industry-leading Micro LED technology, Samsung is taking advantage of ISE to unveil several new display products that will meet the ever-changing needs of this new era. The new range will exemplify Samsung’s ongoing innovation in building solutions, including contactless communication and enhanced security features.

The outdoor visibility of Samsung’s latest lineup of 2022 vintage outdoor displays (model name: OHA 55”, 75”) has been reviewed by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), while the slim composition enables easy installation and long-term performance with IP56 certified protection. Thanks to the durable and high-performance hardware, the OHA can work in many circumstances. One use case is for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, the demand for which is increasing with the continued rise in electric vehicle sales around the world.

In education, Samsung continues to deliver hybrid learning experiences through its innovative solutions and products. Coming in two large models of 75 and 85 inches, the new Samsung Flip Pro 2022 (model name: WMB) is an interactive whiteboard that can provide teachers and students with superior usability and specialized functions to meet the educational needs in constant evolution.

A new addition to Samsung Flip Pro, USB Type-C connectivity provides video control and built-in power (65W charging), while touch latency and industry-leading multi-touch capabilities enable simultaneous video collaboration. a maximum of 20 people1. New addition of intuitive control panel, brightness control sensors and quad front and rear speakers enable the overall classroom experience and enable seamless video communication in a remote or hybrid classroom environment . Finally, SmartView+ connects up to 50 devices simultaneously to the display wirelessly and enables multi-viewing on up to four displays, which is ideal for large meeting rooms as well as digitized classrooms. As the technology works seamlessly in the background, the product is easy for teachers and students to use.
