Microsoft releases first preview version of Windows 11 Sun Valley 3

Microsoft has permanently closed the window that allows members of the Windows Insider Program to switch channels without a full remedy, because registered users of the to build Dev received the very first preview to build Windows 11 Sun Valley 3.

Windows 11 build 25115 is now available for download, although at this point the improvements are rather minor.

The only new feature is called “proposed actions”and it’s supposed to provide users with a way to perform a series of actions when certain content, such as dates and phone numbers, is detected by the operating system.

With this build released in the Dev Channel, the window closes for you to switch from the Dev Channel to the Beta Channel, as your device will have a higher build number than the one provided in the Beta Channel“explains Microsoft.

If your device has this version installed and you decide to upgrade to Beta, you have 10 days or until we post a newer version on the Dev Channel to roll back and upgrade to Beta Channel. If you don’t roll back within 10 days or your device gets another new build, the only way to upgrade to the beta channel is to do a clean install of the released version of Windows 11 on your device to upgrade to the beta channel“.

It’s still a Dev channel

Apart from the newly added announced actions, this new build is just bug fixes and various other improvements. However, it is useful to know that Windows 11 version 25115 comes with an issue that causes Easy Anti-Cheat titles to crash or even a BSOD on affected devices.

Keep in mind that the Dev channel is where Microsoft experiments with new features, so there’s no guarantee that the proposed actions will ever make it into production builds.
