Aware of the strategic importance of consolidating ICT training, Huawei Morocco has signed a memorandum of understanding with six universities in the Casablanca-Settat region as follows: Hassan II University of Casablanca (UH2C ); Hassan I University of Settat (UH1); Chouaib Doukkali University of El Jadida (UCD); the Mohammed VI University of Health Sciences (UM6SS); the International University of Casablanca (UIC) and the Mundiapolis University of Casablanca (UMC).
This agreement was initialed on the sidelines of the regional meetings organized by Hassan II University as part of the National Plan for Accelerating the Transformation of the Higher Education Ecosystem, Scientific Research and Innovation (PACTE ESRI 2030), delivered by the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.
This fruitful partnership, born from the convergence of the vision of all the partners, emphasizes the importance of the development of ICT skills, the encouragement of excellence in the service of quality education in Morocco and the consolidation, in fine, of the public-private partnership, considered as a real lever for the promotion of education and employment.
“We are proud of the scope of the agreement that we have just initialed with six partner universities in the Casablanca-Settat region and which will lay the groundwork for an innovative partnership in the technological and digital fields, with a view to facilitating access students to the labor market and the development of training and certification programs open to students, teachers and administrative and technical executives,” said Mr. Jerry Cui, CEO of Huawei Morocco.

Huawei will also work, through the Huawei ICT Academy, to train instructors, offering them appropriate supervision with quality professional development prospects capable of enabling teachers to open ICT classes for the benefit of their students. .
It should be noted that this agreement comes in the wake of a panoply of programs which will all be articulated around the development of ICT skills and which will be deployed with the six relevant partner universities in the Casablanca-Settat region.
As a reminder, the Huawei ICT Academy was launched in Morocco thanks to a strategic partnership between Huawei Morocco and the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation with the aim of providing students with the skills in ICT and thus promote their integration into the job market. Thus, 54 universities in Morocco are partners of the Huawei ICT Academy program. No less than 5,000 students have been trained by the Huawei ICT Academy and more than 1,700 have been certified.
