Bechtle launches managed services offering around AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud

Bechtle takes another step to simplify enterprise migration to multi-cloud. The German integrator adds unified cloud operations services for hyperscale cloud platforms Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud to its portfolio.

Bechtle is particularly targeting SMBs here with a model that integrates consulting, configuration and integration, but also continuous cost and governance optimizations to ensure efficient operations throughout the lifecycle of cloud services. As an integrator who already knows the infrastructures on his clients’ sites well, he is well suited to play this role.

Managed services can be purchased for one or all three cloud providers as a combined multi-cloud model. Consumption-based ordering and billing is centralized through the Bechtle Clouds Marketplace, while certified experts from the Bechtle Service Factory located in Germany handle service and support.

“Our customers want to use the best platform for each of their different workloads and applications, but they are often dragged down by additional investments in dedicated staff and related expertise. With our managed services, they are able to free themselves from the dilemma by using individual solutions based on proven standards”commented in a press release Dirk Müller-Niessner, managing director of Bechtle Hosting & Operations.

Bechtle believes that its partnerships with the three hyperscalers and this new offer of simplified services will allow it to expand its operations at European and global level. The German integrator has already got the year off to a good start with sales of 1.3 billion euros in the first quarter, up nearly 7% year-on-year. Its workforce grew by 5% year-on-year to reach 12,966 employees.
