Battle for dollars for control of the metaverse

Augmented reality and virtual reality are still in their infancy, but the two behemoths Meta (ex-Facebook) and Apple are already engaged in a real fight.

The two high-tech giants spend lavishly on research in order to offer the best immersive experience to their respective users, and do not hesitate to make low blows: debauchery of employees, tempting offers… All means are good to become the undisputed leader of the metaverse.

Latest battlefield? Virtual headsets. While Meta seems to have taken over since 2016 and the marketing of Oculus headsets, Apple would be ready to respond in 2022. We can’t wait to see.
